After the release of the Galaxy A15 5G in December, Samsung is currently testing the Galaxy A16 5G, which was recently discovered with the model number SM-A166P in the Geekbench online results database.
The MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC powers the Galaxy A16 5G, whereas the A15 5G uses the Dimensity 6100+ SoC. The tested version of the A16 5G has 6GB of RAM, but there may be additional memory possibilities as well.
Unsurprisingly, the phone was running Android 14, and this benchmark run only provided those details. Previous certifications in the UK have shown that Samsung is also developing a 4G version of the A16; as with the A15, this means we will receive two distinct devices, each with different connectivity. Because the A15 4G features the Helio G99 processor, the A16 4G’s chipset will probably be different.
The A15 5G boasts a 6.5-inch 1080×2340 90 Hz AMOLED touchscreen, 128/256GGB of storage, 4/6/8GB of RAM, a 50 MP primary camera, a 5 MP ultrawide, a 2 MP macro camera, a 13 MP selfie camera, and a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 25W wired charging, though additional specifications of the A16 have not yet been revealed.
