Now that we have comprehensive spec sheets for both the 4G and 5G variants of the Samsung Galaxy A16, we can expect the company to unveil the device in December.
Following rumors and pricing leaks, the most recent set of leaks validates all of the features we can anticipate from the two incoming A-series phones.
The only distinction between the Galaxy A16 4G and A16 5G, as their names imply, is their chipsets. Other than that, both phones are practically identical. In Europe, where the latest listings originate, Samsung’s Exynos 1330 SoC will power the A16 5G. Previous leaks indicate that the A16 5G, powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 6300, will be available in additional locations, such as South East Asia.
In contrast, MediaTek’s outdated Helio G99 will be available with the A15 4G, just like with its predecessor.
The remaining specifications are the same for both Galaxy A16 models. a 50MP primary camera connected to a 5MP ultrawide and a 2MP macro module; a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display (FHD+ 90Hz); and a 5,000 mAh battery that can be charged at 25W. Both phones will enable microSD memory card expansion and have 4GB RAM and 128GB of storage.
It is anticipated that Samsung will provide Android security fixes and updates for a maximum of six years. In Europe, the Galaxy A16 4G is expected to cost approximately €210, while the Galaxy A16 5G will start at €240.
